Surah Maryam

The True Story of Jesus and Mary

A Qur’anic account of Maryam and Isa, peace be upon them

16 (O Prophet,) mention Maryam in this Book. Especially remember the time when she withdrew from her family and took shelter in a place toward the east.
17 Then she placed a screen between herself and them. I sent to her My Ruh, Jibril, and he appeared before her in the form of a complete human being.
Explanation: Here, “My Ruh” refers to the angel Jibril. It does not mean a part of Allah, nor does it mean a son of Allah.
18 She said, “O stranger, if you fear Allah, then I seek refuge from you with the Most Merciful.”
19 He said, “I am only a messenger from your Lord. I have come to give you the news of a pure son.”
Explanation: The messenger himself was not the giver of the child. He came with the command and message from Allah.
20 She said, “What are you saying! How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me, and I have never been unchaste?”
21 He said, “Yes, it will be so. Your Lord says, ‘That is very easy for Me.’ I will make him a sign for people and a mercy from Me. And this was a matter already decreed.”
Explanation: The birth of Isa, peace be upon him, without a father was a sign of Allah’s power. It does not mean that he was the son of Allah. Rather, he was Allah’s creation, servant, and prophet.
22 Then she conceived him and withdrew with him to a distant place.
23 Then the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm tree. She said, “If only I had died before this and had been completely forgotten!”
24 Then a caller from beneath her called out, “Do not grieve, O Maryam. Your Lord has placed a stream beneath you.”
25 “Shake the trunk of the date-palm toward yourself; it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you.”
Explanation: According to this verse of the Qur’an, Isa, peace be upon him, was born when fresh dates were available. This shows that the popular claim of 25th December is not based on the Qur’anic account.
26 “So eat, drink, and cool your eyes. Then, if you see any human being, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Merciful, so today I will not speak to any person.’”
Explanation: In that earlier law, remaining silent could be a form of vow or worship. Maryam, peace be upon her, was told not to answer people’s accusations herself, but to leave the matter to Allah’s sign.
27 Then she came back to her people carrying him in her arms. They said, “O Maryam, you have certainly done a strange and shocking thing!”
28 “O sister of Harun, your father was not an evil man, nor was your mother an unchaste woman.”
Explanation: The phrase “sister of Harun” refers to her lineage, religious identity, or righteous family connection. It does not mean that she was the direct biological sister of Prophet Harun, the brother of Musa, peace be upon them.
29 Then she pointed toward him, as if to say: if you have anything to ask, ask this child. They said, “How can we speak to a baby who is still in the cradle?”
30 Then the child spoke: “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet.”
Explanation: Isa, peace be upon him, first introduced himself as “the servant of Allah.” He did not say that he was the son of Allah.
31 “And He has made me blessed wherever I may be. He has commanded me to establish prayer and give zakat as long as I remain alive.”
32 “And He has made me dutiful to my mother. He has not made me arrogant or disobedient.”
33 “Peace was upon me the day I was born, peace will be upon me the day I die, and peace will be upon me the day I am raised back to life.”
34 This is Isa, the son of Maryam. This is the true statement about which they dispute.
35 They say that he is the son of Allah, but it is not for Allah to take a son. Glory be to Him! When He decides a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it comes into existence.
Explanation: The command “Be” shows Allah’s unlimited power. It does not refer to any physical process or human-like birth.
36 “Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him alone. This is the straight path.”
Explanation: Isa, peace be upon him, himself declared that Allah is his Lord and the Lord of everyone. Therefore, he is the servant and prophet of Allah, not Allah and not the son of Allah.
37 Then the groups differed among themselves regarding him. So destruction is for those who disbelieve when they witness the great Day.
Explanation: This points to the different disputes and wrong beliefs that people later developed regarding Isa, peace be upon him.
38 How clearly they will hear and how clearly they will see on the Day they come to Me! But today the wrongdoers are in clear misguidance.
39 O Prophet, warn them about the Day of Regret, when the matter will be finally decided. Yet now they are in heedlessness, and they do not believe.
Explanation: The “Day of Regret” means the Day of Judgment, when people will see the consequences of their negligence and wrong decisions in this world.
40 Surely, I alone will inherit the earth and everyone upon it, and to Me they will all be returned.
The Qur’an honors Maryam and Isa, peace be upon them, while clearly teaching that Isa was a servant and messenger of Allah.

Surah Al-Ma’idah: 116–118

Jesus’ Conversation with Allah on the Day of Judgment

116 And remember when Allah will say:

Allah will say: “O Isa, son of Maryam! Did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah’?”
Isa will say: “Glory be to You! It was not proper for me to say something for which I had no right. If I had said such a thing, You would certainly have known it. You know what is within me, but I do not know what is within Your knowledge. Surely, You alone are the All-Knower of the unseen.”

117 Isa, peace be upon him, will continue:

“I said nothing to them except what You commanded me to say: Worship Allah, who is my Lord and your Lord. As long as I remained among them, I was a witness over them. Then when You raised me up, You were the Watcher over them. And You are Witness over all things.”
Explanation: Isa, peace be upon him, is clearly saying here that he did not call people to worship himself; rather, he called them to worship Allah. He declared Allah to be his Lord and the Lord of all people.

118 Isa, peace be upon him, will say:

“If You punish them, then they are surely Your servants. And if You forgive them, then surely You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
Explanation: Isa, peace be upon him, will leave the final decision about his followers to Allah. He will not claim any independent power to save anyone from Allah’s punishment.
On the Day of Judgment, Isa, peace be upon him, will clearly declare that he called people only to worship Allah — his Lord and the Lord of all mankind.
Important Questions and Answers

What Does the Qur’an Say About Jesus?

A clear collection of Qur’anic answers about Isa, son of Maryam, peace be upon him, the oneness of Allah, and the message of true worship.

1 “Do not say: Three” — The Answer to Trinity
Surah An-Nisa 4:171

O People of the Book! Do not go beyond the limits in your religion, and do not say anything about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Isa, son of Maryam, was only a messenger of Allah, His word which He conveyed to Maryam, and a Ruh from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three.” Stop doing so; that is better for you. Surely Allah is only One God. He is far too pure to have a son. Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth belongs to Him. And Allah is sufficient as the Disposer of all affairs.

2 Isa Never Refuses to Be a Servant of Allah
Surah An-Nisa 4:172

The Messiah never refuses to be a servant of Allah, nor do the angels who are close to Allah. And whoever refuses to worship Him and becomes arrogant, He will gather them all to Himself.

3 The Answer to the Claim: “Allah is the Messiah”
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:17

Surely they have disbelieved who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam.” Say, if Allah wanted to destroy the Messiah, son of Maryam, his mother, and everyone on earth, then who would have any power against Allah? To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens, the earth, and everything between them. He creates whatever He wills. And Allah has power over all things.

4 Isa Himself Said: “Allah is My Lord and Your Lord”
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:72

Surely they have disbelieved who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam.” But the Messiah himself said, “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, who is my Lord and your Lord.” Surely whoever associates partners with Allah, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his home will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers.

5 The Answer to the Claim: “Allah is One of Three”
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:73

Surely they have disbelieved who say, “Allah is one of three.” But there is no god except One God. If they do not stop saying what they say, then a painful punishment will surely touch those among them who disbelieve.

6 The Door of Repentance Is Open
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:74

Will they not turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

7 The Messiah Was a Messenger; He and His Mother Both Ate Food
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:75

The Messiah, son of Maryam, was nothing more than a messenger. Many messengers had passed away before him. His mother was a truthful woman. Both of them used to eat food. Look how I make the signs clear for them; then look how they are turned away.

8 Isa Never Said: “Take Me and Maryam as Gods”
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:116

And when Allah will say, “O Isa, son of Maryam! Did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah’?” He will say, “Glory be to You! It was not proper for me to say something for which I had no right. If I had said it, You would certainly have known it. You know what is within me, but I do not know what is within Your knowledge. Surely, You alone are the All-Knower of the unseen.”

9 The Real Message of Isa
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:117

“I said nothing to them except what You commanded me to say: Worship Allah, who is my Lord and your Lord. As long as I remained among them, I was a witness over them. Then when You raised me up, You were the Watcher over them. And You are Witness over all things.”

10 The Humble Surrender of Isa
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:118

“If You punish them, then they are surely Your servants. And if You forgive them, then surely You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.”

11 The Answer to the Miraculous Birth of Isa
Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:59

Surely the example of Isa before Allah is like the example of Adam. He created him from dust, then He said to him, “Be,” and he came into existence.

12 Prophets Do Not Call People to Worship Themselves
Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:79

It is not possible for a human being that Allah gives him the Book, wisdom, and prophethood, and then he says to the people, “Become my servants instead of Allah.” Rather, he would say, “Become people devoted to the Lord, because you teach the Book and because you study it.”

13 Prophets Do Not Tell People to Take Angels or Prophets as Lords
Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:80

And he would never command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelief after you have submitted to Allah?

14 Calling the People of the Book Toward One Allah
Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:64

Say, O People of the Book! Come to a common word between us and you: that we worship none except Allah, that we do not associate anything with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides Allah. Then if they turn away, say, “Bear witness that we are those who submit to Allah.”

15 The Prohibition of Exaggeration in Religion
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:77

Say, O People of the Book! Do not go beyond the limits in your religion unjustly. And do not follow the desires of those people who went astray before, led many others astray, and deviated from the straight path.

16 Allah Has No Son
Surah Al-An’am 6:101

He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He has no wife? He created everything, and He has complete knowledge of all things.

17 The Answer to the Claim: “Allah Has Taken a Son”
Surah Yunus 10:68

They say, “Allah has taken a son.” Glory be to Him! He is free of all need. Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth belongs to Him. You have no proof for this claim. Are you saying about Allah what you do not know?

18 Warning to Those Who Say Allah Has Taken a Son
Surah Al-Kahf 18:4–5

And to warn those who say, “Allah has taken a son.” They have no knowledge of this, nor did their forefathers. How terrible is the word that comes out of their mouths! They say nothing but a lie.

19 If There Were Another God with Allah, There Would Be Disorder
Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:91

Allah has not taken any son, and there is no god with Him. If there were, then each god would have taken away what he created, and some of them would have tried to dominate others. Glory be to Allah above what they say.

20 There Is No Partner in His Kingdom
Surah Al-Furqan 25:2

He is the One to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He has not taken any son, and He has no partner in His kingdom. He created everything and determined it with perfect measure.

21 Isa Was a Servant of Allah
Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:59

He was only a servant upon whom I bestowed favor, and I made him an example for the Children of Israel.

22 The Real Statement of Isa
Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:63–64

And when Isa came with clear proofs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to make clear to you some of the matters in which you differ. So fear Allah and obey me. Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him alone. This is the straight path.”

23 The Final Declaration of Allah’s Oneness
Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:1–4

Say: He is Allah, One. Allah is Self-Sufficient. He neither gives birth, nor was He born. And there is none comparable to Him.

The Qur’an honors Isa, son of Maryam, peace be upon him, while clearly declaring that he was a servant and messenger of Allah — and that Allah alone deserves worship.

For The Love of Jesus

For The Love of Jesus

For The Love of Jesus:

Jesus truly loved his people. He dedicated his life to the ultimate well-being of humanity. However, does Jesus get the love he deserves in return?
Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Did you try to find the truth about him? If you claim to love Jesus, should not you learn what he really preached and wanted mankind to follow? (Learn more in find peace tab)

The Pursuit of Happiness and Purpose:

Thousands of christians have discovered the truth about Jesus and God. But how so? They have listened to their heart. The heart that God has created to obey its Creator. The heart can find peace and happiness only in realizing its true purpose. The purpose is not to live a mundane life and die one day. The purpose is to get to know God and follow God’s commandments. The God of Jesus the messenger.

God is Waiting for You to Come Back:

God is the Most Merciful and Most Benevolent. God knows when you are hurting. God knows when you are burdened by the frustration and sorrows of this grinding life. God cares about you. God has sent His messengers to enlighten you about this life’s purpose so that your heart finds peace. God has sent Jesus (pbuh) as a messenger and after him, God has sent Muhammad (pbuh) to guide you, to prepare you for paradise.

From The Ones Who Found The Truth and Peace:

Aliyah Umm Raiyan: There has to be purpose behind the normal kind of daily grind of life. Look at a leaf. How intricately designed it is! Think, what is the purpose of it? If this leaf has a purpose, I am a part of this creation too... what is my purpose?
Ashley Belal: We have to learn to think. we get so caught up in living that we don’t think much about what we are living for. Religion shouldn’t be like an inheritance. We should search for the truth.
Arnoud van doorn: Do not listen to the media or politicians. Do your own research. You will find out in sha ALLAH islam is the solution, islam is the truth. (Former anti-islamic party politician from the Netherlands)
Joram Van Klaveren: I became much happier after I became muslim. I would like to invite everyone to become a muslim just because it brings peace to your soul, it brings peace to your heart. It is the truth. It resonates with heart and soul. (Former anti-islamic politician from the Netherlands)

Islamic Dialogue
1. Salutation
Ayesha: Assalamu Ala Man Ittaba'al Huda. (Translation: Peace be upon those who follow the guidance.)
Mary: Wa Alaikum (Peace be upon you too).
Ayesha: How are you, sister?
Mary: By the grace of Jesus, I am fine. How are you?
Ayesha: Alhamdulillah, Allah has kept me well.
2. Similarities Between Christianity and Islam
Ayesha: Sister! We, Christians and Muslims, are the children of the same parents, Adam and Eve. There is no distinction between us. However, there is a misunderstanding among us. When we see a Christian, we try to stay away from them, and likewise, many Christians try to stay away from Muslims when they see them. But this is not right. Because it is not written on my forehead that I am a Muslim, nor is it written on yours that you are a Christian. If I cut my body, red blood comes out, and if your body is cut, red blood also comes out. Since there is no difference in the creation of you and me, it shows that there is no difference between the Creator of you and me. That our Creator is one.
Mary: Really? So, do you believe Jesus Christ is God?
Ayesha: No, sister. How can a human made of flesh and blood be the Creator? Tell me, can we create a human like ourselves if we want to? Can we bring peace to the society on our own?
Ayesha:

We believe Jesus Christ is a prophet and messenger of Allah. Allah has sent many prophets and messengers throughout time to guide people to the right path.

The number of prophets and messengers is countless, but four are considered the most famous and prominent. To guide humanity, Allah revealed great heavenly books to the messengers, similar to a constitution.

Each new messenger brought a new set of laws or constitution, and the previous one's laws were no longer accepted. For example, when Musa (PBUH) came, his followers were the Children of Israel. But when Isa (PBUH) came, everyone was required to follow Isa (PBUH).

Similarly, the constitution brought by Muhammad (PBUH) is the final one. After Muhammad (PBUH), no other messengers' laws will be accepted.

The four major messengers and the books revealed to them are:
  • Musa (PBUH) – Torah; his followers later became Jews, leaving the original teachings.
  • Dawood (PBUH) – Zabur.
  • Isa (PBUH) – Injil; his followers later became Christians, leaving the original teachings.
Christians refer to Isa (PBUH) as Jesus and have altered the Injil into the Bible.

The final prophet, Muhammad (PBUH) – Quran; after Muhammad (PBUH), all other religions were rendered invalid.

Anyone who does not believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet and messenger of Allah cannot be considered a Muslim in terms of belief.
Mary:

Wow! There are so many similarities between your religion and Christianity!
3. Crucifixion
Mary:

So, do you believe that Jesus was crucified?
Ayesha:

No, the Christian belief about the crucifixion of Jesus is completely wrong; let me explain the actual events.

Jesus Christ had 12 disciples, or Hawariyyun.

The twelve were:
  1. Peter (Saint Peter)
  2. Andrew
  3. James (brother of John)
  4. John
  5. Philip
  6. Bartholomew
  7. Thomas
  8. Matthew
  9. James (son of Alphaeus)
  10. Thaddeus
  11. Simon
  12. Judas (Iscariot)
Before the ascension (bodily raised up to heaven) of Jesus, Allah informed him:

"Soon you will depart from this world."

This made Jesus (peace be upon him) anxious. He then invited his disciples, the twelve Hawariyyun, to a meal at night and personally served them food.

Afterward, he asked them to pray to Allah to delay his ascension, but during the prayer, all the disciples fell asleep, and so the prayer could not be made.

Instead, Jesus (PBUH) prophesied:
“I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me three times before the rooster crows. One of you will tell my enemies where I am in exchange for a few coins and will take the money given for me.”
After this, everyone went back to their work.

Meanwhile, because Jesus (peace be upon him) had declared interest (usury) forbidden, the Jews were searching to kill him.

They caught a disciple named Simon and said: "You are a follower of Jesus."

But he denied it three times.

In the morning, another disciple named Judas went to the Jews and said: "If I tell you where Jesus is, what will you give me?"

The Jews gave him thirty coins, and in return, he told them where Jesus was.

But before this, Allah had punished Judas by making his face look like Jesus’ face.

So, instead of Jesus, they captured Judas and crucified him. The body remained on the cross for seven days. Meanwhile, Allah took Jesus up to heaven.

The next day, the Jews noticed that Judas, whom they knew, was missing. Then they realized they had not killed Jesus (peace be upon him) but had instead killed one of his disciples, Judas.
Mary:

Truly, I didn't know any of these things.
Ayesha:

On the other hand, the Bible never mentions that Jesus (PBUH) died by crucifixion. Moreover, if Jesus (PBUH) was indeed crucified, then why was Judas not found afterward?

If Jesus (PBUH) truly was crucified, this raises a big question. According to Christian belief, Jesus is the Son of God and a part of God. If that is the case, how could ordinary people kill a part of God?

It does not make sense that God could not protect Himself. How could such a weak God, who cannot protect Himself, save others?

The entire matter has been clarified in the Quran,

Surah An-Nisa (4:157)
"And [they] said, 'Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.' But they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except following of assumption. And they did not kill him for certain."

This clearly shows that Jesus (PBUH) was not crucified, and the people who believed otherwise were mistaken.

Hapana. Unaalikwa kuhifadhi kila ukweli ambao tayari unaushika na kuuona ukamilifu wake.

Kupata Amani ya Kudumu

Kila moyo unatafuta amani.

A Message of Love to Brothers and Sisters – Peace For Ever

A Message of Love to Brothers and Sisters:

Dear Brother,

I hope this message finds you well. You are a kind and good-hearted person, and I hold great respect and affection for you. As your well-wisher, I want to share some important messages for your well-being and benefit messages that you may not yet be aware of.

Dear Brother, do you know why we have come to this world? Where were we before this life? And where will we go after death? I would like to share the answers to these profound questions with you.

Just as every object has a master, we too have a Creator—the One who nurtured us in our mother’s womb and continues to sustain us every day. After death, we will return to Him. He is Allah, the Almighty.

We have a misconception about Allah, thinking He is the God of Muslims or their deity. But the truth is, He is the God of all people. He says: “O mankind! Worship your Lord, who created you and those before you.” (Al-Quran, Surah Baqarah-21)

Our great Creator, Allah, loves His servants very much. So that His servants do not go astray and forget Him, He has sent prophets and messengers throughout the ages. In this sequence, He sent the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). He is the prophet for all people, not just Muslims, but for you too. Allah says: “Say, O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all.” (Surah Araf 158)

Here, Allah addresses all people, and since you are a human, He is your prophet too. To be saved from eternal hell after death, you must follow this prophet and adhere to his teachings. Brother! I urge you to believe in this prophet.

So that we can fully obey Allah, He has sent us a message through Muhammad (peace be upon him), a way of life, which is the Quran. There is no doubt in this book. Knowing and following the Quran is as necessary for you as it is for me. Therefore, I invite you to read, understand, and act upon the Quran, considering it the word of your Creator.

To read the Quran, click here.

Dear Brother and Sister! I am revealing another truth to you, which is our religion. The religion of all people, including you and me, is Islam. Islam is the religion given by Allah. The only religion that has come from Allah is Islam. No other religion is acceptable to Allah except Islam.

Allah says: “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.” (Surah Al-Imran-21)

Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him. (Surah Al-Imran-85)

Therefore, as your well-wisher, I invite you to accept Islam and be saved from eternal hell after death.

Where is my destination? This world is not my true abode. The true abode is Paradise. We have to leave this temporary world and go to the hereafter forever. After death, we must return to Allah. He will tell us what we have done in this world. If we can accept Islam, we will attain eternal happiness in Paradise. Otherwise, we will fall into the place of eternal suffering and punishment, Hell.

Every person wants peace. Due to not knowing the path to peace, we are walking on the path of unrest. But we are not finding peace. The path to peace is Islam.

As your well-wishing brother, I invite you to accept Islam and choose the path of peace and salvation. The method of accepting Islam is to believe from the heart that there is no deity but Allah, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. Islam is the true religion, and after death, we must return to Allah. Acknowledge this with your mouth.

“Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh.”

I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah. I also bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the servant and Messenger of Allah.

By sincerely believing and reciting these words, you will become a Muslim. The benefit is that all your past sins will be forgiven. Hoping to hear the good news of your acceptance of Islam.

Kiini cha Ujumbe

Kutoka kwa Adamu hadi Ibrahimu, kutoka kwa Musa hadi Isa, na hatimaye kwa Muhammad (amani iwe juu yao wote), ujumbe ulikuwa mmoja: kuna Mungu mmoja tu, anayestahiki ibada yote.
